[MV] TREM – Omega Man

BEAT BY PROWLA. If one man in Australia embodies the mantra of quality over quantity, it’s Melbourne MC and producer Trem One. His decade-long discography encompasses two sought after white label 12″s, two releases with his crew Lyrical Commission, production, raps and oversight on fellow commissioner Brad Strut’s solo releases and a small handful of carefully selected guest verses and production credits. This austerity, combined with the precision of his astute lyricism and economical production has given mythical status to his long-promised, elusive solo album.Representing the increasingly rare school of hip hop that never lost focus on the art of tightly woundwordplay and devious multisyllabic rhyme schemes, Trem finally unleashes the first salvo from his debut solo full length For the Term of His Natural…

[Debut MV] 365 Band - " Awaking"

This song is composed by DJAddy Tran. The video is directed by Chris Le. The fight scenes are choreographed byJohnny Tri Nguyen. It took 31 hours to shoot. Apparently it is the most expensive Vietnamese music video up to date. I really like this video, it's very chic and stylish. I guess it is intentional that they somewhat satirized the way some boybands are "manufactured"  I like the choreography and guys are indeed handsome. Their voices are very good, above average. I defiantly don't mind hearing more from them in the future. Anticipate 365 band's stage debut next.

Since Christmas is right around the corner, check out 365 Band's Christmas melody video of "Last Christmas" and "Jiggle Bells". These guy English singing skills are commendable.

Hip Hop Heals Uganda In Bouncing Cats

Ugandan b-boy Abramz Tekya seeks to help heal his war-torn country and improve the lives of its children by teaching them to breakdance. You might think that children whose lives are threatened by poverty and violence would have a lot of other priorities besides dancing, but Tekya’s students walk for miles to get to his free classes at Sharing Youth Center in Kampala.
Bouncing Cats, a documentary by director Nabil Elderkin, highlights Tekya’s organization Breakdance Project Uganda and shows how breaking and other elements of hip hop can bring youth from different tribes together peacefully and help them all to rebuild a sense of pride and identity. (Abramz classes have the added benefit of drawing young people to the community center where they have access to computers and other programs.)
The documentary centers on a visit from Crazy Legs of the legendary Rock Steady Crew. It follows Abramz and the founding b-boy on an inspiring journey through Uganda.
